THE Little Ship Club is set to bring the sounds of one of rock music’s most iconic bands to North Stradbroke Island next month, with the Australian Eagles Show headlining the latest instalment of its growing Bands on the Bay live music series.

The waterfront venue will host the show from noon to 5pm on Saturday, June 6, celebrating 50 years of the Eagles’ legendary Hotel California album.

The production will feature two live sets, including a full performance of Hotel California followed by a collection of Eagles greatest hits.

Audience favourites including Desperado, Take It Easy, Life in the Fast Lane and New Kid in Town are expected to feature, with performers recreating the harmonies and musicianship that helped define the Eagles.

Little Ship Club Commodore Charles Ainsworth said the event was part of a growing push to bring quality live entertainment to the island.

“We’re excited to bring this calibre of live music to Straddie,” Mr Ainsworth said.

“It’s a chance for people to enjoy a full day on the waterfront with great music, good food and the relaxed atmosphere that makes the club such a unique venue.”

The afternoon will also include performances by Dave Ritter between the main sets, with the entertainer known for covering crowd favourites from artists including CCR, AC/DC, Cold Chisel, The Beatles and Van Morrison.

All remaining tickets are general admission lawn tickets, with guests encouraged to bring a low chair or blanket for relaxed seating on the grass overlooking the Bay.

Food will be available throughout the day, Capacity is limited to 360 guests and bookings are recommended.

Tickets are $45 and available on 3409 9022.

Access to the event is via the Straddie Flyer from Cleveland.
