THE 11th annual Dîner en Rouge will shine a spotlight on the people working on the frontlines of domestic and family violence prevention, with a powerful panel discussion to headline the event.

The gala will be held on Saturday, May 31, raising vital funds to support local services and initiatives tackling family violence.

Leading the panel is respected journalist and media personality Bianca Stone.

The panel includes Ann from Maybanke Crisis Accommodation, who will share insights from her leadership role supporting women and children fleeing violence.

Ann will speak to both the immediate needs of survivors and the long-term challenges they face.

Joining her is Mason Black, co-founder of The Betterment Project, which delivers preventative education workshops to young men across Queensland.

The initiative aims to challenge toxic behaviours and promote respect, accountability and gender equality.

Rochelle Courtenay, founder of the national charity Share the Dignity, will also feature on the panel.

Her organisation distributes essential period products to women and girls experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or financial hardship, helping to address the often-overlooked issue of dignity in crisis.

Together, the panellists will explore what is working, what still needs to change, and how the community can play a more active role in prevention and response.

The panel will also formally launch the Angela Petersen Emergency Support Fund, a local initiative designed to provide immediate financial relief to victims of domestic violence via trusted local service providers.

Dîner en Rouge coordinator Karen Williams said the panel reflected the deep commitment and strength of the community.

“These people are doing the work, day in and day out. Their stories and expertise offer a clear path forward – and a reminder that together, we can create a safer future for all,” Ms Williams said.

The evening will also feature a special performance by internationally renowned soprano Mirusia, followed by dancing with high-energy corporate band Sister Mister.

Funds raised through the event will support Maybanke Crisis Accommodation, The Betterment Project, Share the Dignity and the Angela Petersen Emergency Support Fund.

Tickets are now on sale at redlandfoundation.org.au.
