A Christmas tradition on Redlands Coast will return to its original format and location this year.

Christmas by Starlight will be held on Saturday, December 16 from 3pm to 8.30pm at Norm Price Park – Redland Showgrounds, Cleveland.

Mayor Karen Williams said that for the past three years, the event was subject to restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Since 2020, it has been a ticketed event held over five days at Raby Bay Harbour Park so that numbers could comply with health safety requirements,” she said.

“This year, I’m delighted to announce, it will return to its original popular location at the showgrounds and will be free to all with no tickets required.

The event will feature live entertainment, rides, Christmas merchandise stalls, food trucks, a visit from Santa Claus and carolling.

Cr Williams said council was currently calling for expressions for interest from Redlands Coast performing artists and market stallholders who want to be part of the event.

Application forms are available online.
