AT THE annual changeover lunch event, special guests and Lions from the Capalaba branch celebrated a year of donations and hard work in the community.

Capalaba Lions president Christine Cufflin reported that more than $89,000 had been donated to local and broader causes as well as many hours of person-power.

The Capalaba Lions recognised their donations to the organisations including the Lions Prostate Cancer Research Project ($2000), the Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Foundation ($5000) and Sailability Bayside ($10,000).

Ms Cufflin shared her vision for the upcoming year, with a big focus on building community relationships, increasing membership and enhancing training and the succession planning.
