IF there’s one thing Aussie diners love, it’s definitely a feed that doesn’t flatten the wallet.

For this week’s Ash’s Appetite value meal roundup, I dug through customer reviews, menu pricing, and portion-to-price ratios across three local favourites: Coastal Ox Café, Smoked & Loaded Cleveland, and Love Kitchoo.

Reviews consistently praise Coastal Ox for hearty servings and friendly service, especially at breakfast.

Their value sweet spot is the classic cafe staples: loaded brekkies, burgers, and wraps that leave no one hungry.

Prices sit in the $18-$26 range for most meals.

Not the cheapest, but diners say the portion size makes up for it.

Value score: solid but not standout.

Smoked & Loaded earns rave reviews for generous meat servings, affordable combos, and consistent flavour.

Their smoked meat boxes and burgers typically land between $14-$20, with many reviewers calling it “the best feed per dollar in the Redlands”.

If value means maximum fullness for minimum spend, this place leads the pack.

Love Kitchoo brings a different kind of value: budget friendly Asian comfort food with most mains between $12-$18.

Reviewers love the flavour, speed, and consistency, although portions are smaller than the other two venues.

Still, for the price, it’s hard to complain.

It’s the best option for diners wanting a tasty, inexpensive meal without the “food coma” factor.

For pure cost to quantity value, Smoked & Loaded Cleveland comes out on top.

Love Kitchoo wins for cheapest overall meals, while Coastal Ox Café offers the best value for big breakfast lovers.

But if you want the most food for the fairest price, Smoked & Loaded is the clear champion.
