Mid-year operating hours have come into effect at Redland City Council’s Birkdale and Redland Bay waste and recycling centres.

The public can now access the mainland facilities from 7am to 5pm each day.

Vehicles must arrive on site before 4.45pm to allow for end-of-day procedures to be undertaken.

Residents are encouraged to make their trip quicker and easier by arranging the recycling and waste in their vehicle according to waste types.

Opening hours remain unchanged for island facilities.
