Channel 10 is shaking up its prime-time schedule, with the long-running hit Gogglebox Australia moving from its traditional Thursday night home to Sunday evenings when it returns later this month.
The popular series will premiere its new season on Sunday, August 23, marking one of the show’s biggest scheduling changes since it first aired in Australia.
The move sees Gogglebox enter one of television’s most competitive nights, as Network 10 looks to bolster its weekend entertainment line-up.
Fan-favourite households will all return to their couches, including Adam and Symon, the Daltons, Matty, Sarah Marie, Jad and the boys, Lee and Keith, Tim and Leanne, Anastasia and Faye, the Delpechitras, Kevin, Bob and Jared, Milo and Nic, and Mia, Bree and Lainey.
The format remains unchanged, with the cast offering their humorous, candid and often heartfelt reactions to the week’s biggest television moments, news events and streaming hits.
The shift is designed to position the program as the perfect way for audiences to round out the weekend before the working week begins.
Gogglebox Australia has become one of Australian television’s most enduring entertainment programs, earning multiple Logie Awards and maintaining a loyal audience thanks to its relatable cast and unique take on the nation’s viewing habits.
The new season premieres Sunday, August 23, on Channel 10, with episodes also available to stream free on 10 Play.
