AFTER a four-year absence from the Seven Network, popular dating series First Dates Australia is finally making its long-awaited return, promising a fresh batch of blind dates, awkward introductions and the possibility of finding lasting love.
Seven has released a first look at the new season, confirming the reality dating show will soon return to Australian screens after a lengthy delay that saw its planned comeback pushed back multiple times.
The series originally aired on Seven before moving to Network 10 for its most recent season in 2022. Now, the format is returning to its original home, where a new group of hopeful singles will take a leap of faith in search of romance.
This season features an all-new restaurant setting, equipped with discreet cameras designed to capture every moment of the dating experience.
Fan-favourite staff members Khan, Jeremy, Cameron and Eden will once again help guide diners through their romantic encounters as strangers meet face-to-face for the very first time.
The show’s familiar format remains unchanged, with each date building towards the all-important question at the end of the evening: would they like to see each other again?
Several recognisable faces are also expected to feature among this year’s singles, adding an extra layer of intrigue as viewers follow their search for companionship and connection.
Produced by Warner Bros. International Television Australia for Seven, First Dates Australia focuses on genuine relationships rather than manufactured drama, making it one of the country’s most popular reality dating formats.
The return has been a long time coming. Seven first announced plans to revive the series in 2023, with an expected return initially slated for 2024.
