RESIDENTS are urged to have their say on the region’s biggest transport issues, with a new community-wide survey now open.
State Member for Redlands Rebecca Young has launched the Redlands Transport Survey to identify congestion points, dangerous intersections, missing links and public transport gaps.
Mrs Young said the survey was a key step in her push to deliver proper planning and investment that keeps pace with the city’s rapid growth.
“Redlands is growing – and we need transport infrastructure that’s properly planned and keeps our community moving, whether you’re driving, on a bus, walking, or riding your bike,” she said.
Earlier this year, Mrs Young established the Redlands Road Advisory Committee to bring together local experts and ensure their voices are heard.
Now, she’s inviting the whole community to contribute their first-hand knowledge from daily commutes and school runs.
“This survey gives locals the chance to highlight the roads, crossings, and public transport services that need attention – and to share ideas for what our community will need into the future,” she said.
The survey asks residents to nominate congestion points and dangerous intersections, identify where bike lanes, buses or footpath links are missing, and suggest improvements for safer speeds and better connectivity.
“If we want better infrastructure, we need a clear plan backed by real community input – and that starts with this survey. Your feedback will go directly to TMR for action,” Mrs Young said.
Survey results will help set local transport priorities and support Mrs Young’s advocacy for much-needed upgrades and investment.
The Redlands Transport Survey is now open, and closes on September 30.
