THE region is gearing up for one of its most colourful annual celebrations as GreazeFest returns to the Cleveland Showgrounds next weekend, bringing with it a vibrant mix of rockabilly music, kustom art, vintage markets and hundreds of gleaming hot rods.

The three-day festival, now a staple of the region’s cultural calendar, is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across Queensland and interstate, giving local businesses a welcome mid-year boost.

Organisers say this year’s event will be one of the biggest yet, with expanded entertainment zones, additional food vendors and a strengthened focus on local artists.

The festival’s signature attractions remain firmly in place including classic car displays, retro fashion parades, live rockabilly bands and the ever popular kustom art showcase.

For many locals, GreazeFest is more than a nostalgia trip, it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity and community spirit.

Cleveland and Redlands businesses are already preparing for the influx.

Accommodation providers report strong early bookings, while nearby cafes and restaurants expect a surge in foot traffic throughout the weekend.

Market stallholders, many of them based in the region, say GreazeFest offers a rare opportunity to connect with both dedicated enthusiasts and curious newcomers.

The festival’s organisers emphasise its role in supporting local culture.

GreazeFest has long championed Queensland artists, pinstripers, makers and musicians, giving them a platform to share their work with a national audience.

This year’s program includes additional workshops and demonstrations aimed at showcasing the skills behind Kustom Kulture, from hand painted pinstriping to vintage style leatherwork.

With its mix of music, machinery and mid century flair, GreazeFest continues to be one of Clevland’s most distinctive events.

As the countdown begins, the community is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors ready to celebrate a uniquely Australian take on rockabilly culture.
