REDLANDS United played host to newly promoted NPL side St George Willawong in Round 2 of the Kappa Pro Series at the Amcal Arena in Cleveland last Wednesday.

Redlands opened the scoring on 34 minutes when Mack Roach intercepted the ball just outside the box and rounded the keeper before squaring the ball to Deegan Brook to score his first goal for the club.

Kealan Crawford also scored his first United goal 10 minutes into the second half when a mistake from the St George keeper left him to simply run the ball into the empty net for a deserved 2-0 lead.

But fatigue started to set in mid-way through the second half and St George pulled a goal back, then 10 minutes later an unlucky own goal saw St George level at 2-2.

Redlands were back in action on Sunday afternoon against NPL heavyweights Lions FC, but it was a bad day at
the office for the Red Devils as they went down 8-1.
