Teen charged after alleged Victoria Point assault

A teenage boy has been charged following an alleged assault at Victoria Point late last month.

Police allege that about 3.30pm on March 26, two teenage boys assaulted a 15-year-old Thornlands boy on Colburn Avenue.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Following investigations by Cleveland Police and the Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU), a 13-year-old Thornlands boy has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company.

He has been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Investigations remain ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with further information or relevant vision to come forward.
