A teenage boy has been charged over an alleged burglary in Brisbane’s Camp Hill earlier this week.

Queensland Police Service said officers were called to a Warilda Street address about 1.45am on Tuesday, February 3, after an occupant became aware of someone attempting to gain entry to the property.

Police allege the offender gained entry through the front door before being confronted by the occupant and fleeing the scene in a car of unknown make or model.

Following investigations, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy from Inala at an address in Collingwood Park about 10am on Thursday, February 5.

Police said the arrest was linked to the Camp Hill incident as well as a number of additional alleged offences across the South Brisbane area.

The teenager has been charged with five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, four counts of entering a dwelling with intent, three counts of face masked or disguised with intent, two counts of entering premises and committing indictable offences, and one count of receiving tainted goods.

He appeared in Richlands Children’s Court on February 6.
