A husband and wife team with almost a decade of real estate experience have returned to their Bayside roots to open ONEAGENCY – The Martins Real Estate Bayside at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre.

Principal and Director Lorraine Martin said opening their own agency in the Redlands felt like a natural next step after relocating back to the area she grew up in.

“I am from Capalaba originally and always loved the area,” Lorraine said.

“We were coming here for Christmas celebrations, Easter and birthdays anyway.

“My 92-year-old mum has lived here for 28 years, and we decided to come back to the Bayside to be close to her and our friends and family.”

Lorraine said the Redlands had quickly reminded them why they had always loved the region.

“The Redlands has everything you could possibly need close by,” she said.

“And eating out is great as there are heaps of choices in cuisines and price ranges.”

Lorraine and Brian have worked side by side in real estate for nearly 10 years, building a reputation as approachable, knowledgeable agents committed to helping clients navigate the property market with confidence.

“Brian and I have been a successful husband/wife real estate team for almost 10 years,” she said.

“It is a vocation for us … not just a job.

“So, it was a no-brainer when it came to our move down here.

“I was already a principal agent, so it seemed right to open our doors and run it ourselves.”

The couple pride themselves on offering a personal, down-to-earth approach.

“Brian and I are very easy-going agents, and we like to think that we treat people how we’d like to be treated ourselves,” Lorraine said.

“Some clients know heaps about real estate and just want an experienced, ethical agent to work with.

“Others may have held properties for many years and know nothing about today’s market or how to even start when it comes to selling or buying a property.

“We are those agents who will take the time to explain what needs to be known and handle all the bits and pieces so that the whole process is a pleasant experience.

“We know our stuff and have kept up with ongoing changes to the law … but we are not remotely stuffy.”
Lorraine said what makes One Agency – The Martins Real Estate Bayside stand out is the combination of local ownership and global reach.

“Clients get to deal with the owners … so the buck stops here,” she said.

“But we have the power of the ONE AGENCY international portal to promote our listings, plus an amazing national alliance with Aussie (Home Loans) – who advertise all of our listings to their 5 million+ customer base.”

They’ve already started forming strong local ties.

“Plus, we have already been networking locally and have ties with the BOQ, Mcauley Law and several other local businesses. We like to support locals,” Lorraine said.

And they even have a four-legged team member.

“We also have a secret weapon … our mascot Apollo – aka Mr Fluffy Pants,” Lorraine said.

One Agency – The Martins Real Estate Bayside is located at Shop 106a, Capalaba Park Shopping Centre.

Phone Lorraine on 0419 755 109.
