Redland City Council has added daily fuel pricing and availability data to its disaster dashboard, giving residents real-time visibility of supply across the region as the fuel crisis continues.
The enhancement integrates information from the Queensland Government and allows users to view updated prices and availability at service stations across the mainland and on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah).
Mayor Jos Mitchell said the added feature would help residents better understand where fuel is available and how much it costs at individual locations.
“Having this feature available on our disaster dashboard will strengthen both Council’s and our community’s response to the current fuel crisis,” the Mayor said.
“Access to fuel is essential to keeping our city running.
“By integrating the Queensland Government data directly into our dashboard, we are providing daily information to help our community make informed decisions about when and where they can purchase the fuel they need.”
The dashboard displays each service station with its location, pricing and availability, allowing users to quickly assess supply conditions across the city.
Mayor Mitchell urged residents to save the dashboard for quick access as conditions continue to change.
“I encourage everyone to bookmark Redlands Coast Disaster Dashboard for quick access to this vital information,” the Mayor said.
Users can access the fuel data via the Redlands Coast Disaster Dashboard map, where a ‘Fuel Status’ layer can be toggled on to reveal service station information.
On desktop, the ‘Fuel Status’ box must be selected from the right-hand menu, while mobile users can access the same feature through the map’s layers icon.
Fuel bowser icons indicate availability status, with green showing fuel is available, orange indicating partial availability and grey representing unknown supply.
Council said it was continuing to work with stakeholders to ensure all service stations across the city are captured, including those on the islands.
