FOR two decades, DOTS Allied Health has supported the wellbeing and independence of adults across the Greater Brisbane region.
A proudly Redlands-based, family-owned practice, our founding occupational therapist Beth Dermer had a clear purpose: to help people live safely, independently and meaningfully in their own homes.
Today, we are a highly experienced team of 10 occupational therapists, a dietitian and excellent admin team, still guided by that same commitment.
In a healthcare and disability landscape that can often feel impersonal, consistency and trust matter.
From the beginning, our work has centred on people who need thoughtful, on-going support.
We have had the privilege of working with veterans and their families, alongside older Australians accessing government-funded services – now known as Support at Home – for the extent of our 20-year history.
Since 2018, we have also expanded to support adults with NDIS funding, responding to growing need while staying true to our core focus: delivering care where it matters most, in the home.
Our approach is deliberately personal.
Rather than operating from busy clinics or rushed appointments, we meet people in their own environments.
This allows us to understand their goals, challenges and daily realities, and to provide practical, tailored strategies that genuinely improve quality of life.
What truly sets DOTS Allied Health apart, however, is our team.
Our clinicians bring an average of 19 years of experience, combining deep expertise with a strong commitment to ongoing learning.
Just as importantly, they bring compassion, patience and respect to every interaction – qualities that turn professional skill into meaningful outcomes.
These strengths are reflected in our guiding values: integrity, kindness and expertise.
These are not just words, but principles that guide every aspect of what we do – shaping our decisions, our relationships, and the standard of care we provide.
Integrity to do what is right, even when it is not the easiest path, kindness shapes how we connect with every client and family.
As we mark 20 years of service, our focus remains unchanged: supporting adults to live well, maintain independence, and feel heard and valued.
It is both a privilege and a responsibility –one we are proud to carry into the future.
