CRAFT Brew House in Birkdale has been recognised on a national level after owners Tracy and Martin Robson accepted the honour of Best Specialised Business in Australia.

“It’s a huge validation of the heart, hustle and countless hours poured into Craft Brew House,” Mrs Robson said.

“It’s also a celebration of the community we’ve built everything around. We’re proud, grateful, and more motivated than ever.”

The cafe/bar has a rich history in the Birkdale community, with the Robsons taking ownership almost four years ago, right in the middle of the Covid pandemic.

“We saw incredible potential in the space – a venue with a strong foundation, ready for a fresh wave of creativity and care,” Mrs Robson said.

Their vision was clear: to create a welcoming place where people could gather, connect, and enjoy quality food and drink.

“Everything we do is experience-driven – from our prohibition-themed evenings to cocktail masterclasses, live music, trivia nights, and Open Mic, we’re always looking for ways to surprise and delight,” Mrs Robson said.

“We listen to our guests, keep our team motivated, and constantly innovate to stay ahead.”

Craft Brew House offers a unique menu that includes a carefully curated craft beer range – from crisp pilsners to bold stouts and tart sours – a dedicated margarita menu that has taken off with guests, and crowd-favourite food items like their chicken wings with house-made rubs.

And the creativity doesn’t stop there.

To mark their 25th wedding anniversary, the couple will be hosting a British Pop Night on April 26, complete with live music and fancy dress, celebrating the music they love and the community they’ve built.

Craft Brew House continues to be a beloved gathering place in Birkdale, driven by a passion for community, quality, and connection.

“We just want to say how incredibly grateful we are – for our team, our guests, and the wider community that’s supported us every step of the way,” Mrs Robson said.

“From the team members who bring heart and soul to every shift, to the regulars who feel like family, and the first-timers who leave already planning their next visit, every person who walks through our doors is part of the Craft story.”

Accepting the award on stage was a surreal moment for the Robsons.

“It was one of those pinch-me moments,” Mrs Robson said. “We thought of our team, our community, and everyone who’s supported us along the way – it wasn’t just our win, it was theirs too.”
