ALL Abilities Cricket will spring into action in South East Queensland with Redlands Tigers launching a free All Abilities program heading into a big summer of cricket.
The free All Abilities Cricket program is designed especially for neurodiverse children and young adults.
Redlands Tigers under-stands that every child is different and that’s exactly what makes this program special.
Whether your child is energetic, quiet, curious, anxious, or just finding their place, the Redlands Tigers All Abilities program caters for all.
The program’s focus is built on creating a safe, supportive, and pressure-free environment where participants can enjoy cricket at their own pace, build confidence, and connect with others.
It’s about more than just sport, it’s about belonging.
While the pioneering All Abilities centres at Valley District and Albert-Ormeau cricket clubs continue to flourish, Redlands Tigers is thrilled to join in the success of other programs and offer Redlands City a fantastic program and initiative.
The expansion of All Abilities Cricket coincides with a renewed funding commitment by Taverners Queensland to assist with the introduction of more programs to allow participants with a disability to enjoy playing cricket.
Queensland Cricket has hosted its initial All Abilities Edition of the Backyard to Big Bash program at Allan Border Field and looks forward to supporting Redlands Tigers with the All Abilities program throughout the summer.
The launch of All Abilities cricket within the Redlands highlights the continued effort of Redlands Cricket Club to develop and expand cricket within the district for everyone.
Over the next 12 months, the club will begin the redevelopment of Peter Burge Oval to include full field lighting for night cricket along with the upgrade of ground facilities including a new changeroom to cater for the growing women’s program.
