QUEENSLAND Cricket is excited to announce the 2025 Under 15 Female State Challenge, set to take place from Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17 at the Redlands Cricket Club in Wellington Point.

The prestigious event will bring together some of the state’s brightest young female cricketing talent as four teams, 48 players, and 12 officials from across Queensland compete for top honours.

This year’s challenge will feature a mix of 20-over and 50-over matches, providing a unique opportunity for players to showcase their skills on the field while also engaging in a player development experience during a dedicated rest day on Wednesday, April 16.

The action begins on Monday, April 14 with two exciting 20-over matches, followed by a full 50-over match on Tuesday, April 15.

After the mid-week rest day, the players will return to the field on Thursday, April 17 for another 50-over match.

The championship will be played using the White 142g Kookaburra Regulation ball.

This championship isn’t just a competition – it’s an important milestone for young players in Queensland’s cricketing pathway.

The event provides a chance for Queensland Cricket to identify rising stars who may be considered for selection in the Queensland Cricket Winter Training Program later this year.

However, as emphasised by the organisers, the most important aspect of the challenge is for players to enjoy the experience and have fun with their friends.

The Redlands Cricket Club will host the tournament, offering a high-quality venue with excellent facilities to ensure the players have an enjoyable and competitive environment.

The event’s success wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of volunteers.

Queensland Cricket extends its gratitude to Sean Lloyd, Craig Jesberg, and the Redlands Cricket Club’s executive committee and volunteers for their tireless efforts in preparing the venue.

Additionally, special thanks are due to the Queensland Cricket Umpires & Scorers Association, who will ensure the matches are played with the utmost professionalism.
