A LOCAL real estate agent is calling for forward-thinking leaders to step up and bring world-class amenities to the region, unlocking its full potential.
For Jan Goetze, real estate is more than just a career – it’s a passion.
Often described as a ‘workaholic’, Jan thrives on being busy and constantly achieving goals.
“The thought of retiring doesn’t appeal to me,” she said.
“Work is a core passion of mine.”
Originally from Boonah, Jan has called the Redlands home for 46 years, and in that time, she has developed a deep connection to the area.
She believes the Redlands has been overlooked compared to other regions.
“We need forward-thinking leaders who can bring world-class amenities to the region,” Jan said.
“This could include upscale restaurants, better boating facilities, luxury shopping, conference venues, and higher education institutions.”
Beyond her professional life, Jan is deeply committed to animal welfare.
“Currently, I’m caring for a stray cat, and I’ve already adopted two others,” she said. “I regularly donate to organizations such as the RSPCA, Rolda.org, PETA, Four Paws Australia, Lost Dogs’ Home, and SPANA Charity.”
Jan approaches life with the philosophy of treating others the way she would like to be treated.
“I strive to be honest, generous, and a giver rather than a taker,” she said.
“It’s important to me to never feel superior to anyone and to approach life with an open, non-judgmental mindset.”
For Jan Goetze, real estate is a career that never grows dull.
“The best part of real estate is the unique challenges and rewards it offers,” she said.
“I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, and it keeps me engaged and motivated.”
