REAL estate agent Jimmy Regan believes the Redlands is “a step behind” inner-city suburbs but brimming with untapped potential to shine on a larger stage.

A lifelong Redlands resident, Jimmy is deeply rooted in the community, with family ties in Victoria Point dating back to 1946.

“I have lived in the Redlands my whole life and seen so much change and growth – a quiet farm shire has truly become a bustling city,” Jimmy said.

Now 25, Jimmy lives in Capalaba with his partner Maddi and their two cavoodle puppies, Maisy and Delilah.

He’s a proud third-generation student of Victoria Point State School and a graduate of Victoria Point State High School.

In 2021, Jimmy bought his first home in Capalaba, marking another milestone in his Redlands journey.

Looking ahead, the real estate agent views the Redlands as trailing inner-city suburbs in some areas but bursting with opportunities for development and progress.

“I would love to see the Redlands city included in the Brisbane city east, or southeast, which would bring us into the eyes of interstate and global movers coming to Brisbane,” he said.

Jimmy also referred to the islands as a hidden goldmine for the Redlands area.

“The islands have such a high potential, we’ve seen phenomenal growth in the past years,” he said.

“However, I still believe they could be utilised more efficiently and effectively.”

With his competitive nature, Jimmy’s passion for real estate is evident.

“I’ve found the difference that I can make in a client’s life to be the most satisfying part of working in real estate,” he said.

“An extra 10, 20, 50,000 dollars or more in some cases can make an absolute life-changing impact on someone’s life.”

Outside of work, Jimmy’s love for the Redlands shines through.

Whether it’s playing premier league lawn bowls at the Capalaba Comets, dining at local favourites like The Arsonist, or enjoying sunny days on Stradbroke Island, Jimmy’s life is intertwined with the community he serves.

He also supports local sports as a major sponsor of clubs like the Redlands Sporting Club, Victoria Point Bowls Club, Cleveland Bowls Club, and Capalaba Sports Club.

With a firm belief in manifestation, Jimmy’s ethos reflects his drive to make the most of life: “If you believe you can, then you will,” he said.
