FOR Bayside real estate agent Laine Kidner, life is all about family, community, a love for sports, and helping others find their dream homes.

As he approaches his 10-year wedding anniversary with his wife Kim and raises two children, Max and Olivia, Laine’s life is centred around family.

“Family is at the heart of everything I do,” he said.

A true sports enthusiast, Laine is a fanatical supporter of Test match cricket and the North Queensland Cowboys.

His love for sports aligns with his ethos of treating others as he’d want to be treated and tackling challenges with integrity and positivity.

“It shapes my life by guiding my interactions, helping me build strong relationships, and ensuring that I stay grounded and focused on what truly matters—family, community, and personal growth,” Kidner said.

“It’s all about creating a lasting, positive impact wherever I go.”

Looking to the future, Laine hopes for “sustained growth” in Redland City and the Islands, but with a focus on maintaining the area’s unique charm.

“Growth is important, but it needs to be balanced with investment in infrastructure to ensure our community remains a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family,” he said.

“Preserving the natural beauty of the region while supporting smart development is key to maintaining the lifestyle that makes this area so special.”

When he has quiet moments, Laine cherishes time with his kids, creating lasting memories with trips to the beach or fishing outings.

“These moments allow us to create lasting memories, explore the beautiful outdoors, and unwind from the fast pace of everyday life,” he said.

“There’s nothing better than seeing the kids’ excitement as they reel in a fish or see something new.”

For Laine, working in real estate is a rewarding opportunity to connect with people during significant life moments.

“Whether it’s helping someone buy their first home, guiding a family through the sale of a cherished property, or assisting investors in achieving their goals, every day brings new challenges and rewards,” he said.
