Redlands Coast residents with an interest in the arts are being encouraged to apply for a volunteer role helping shape the region’s creative future.
Redland City Council is seeking expressions of interest from community members to join the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) assessment panel.
Redland City Acting Mayor Julie Talty said a number of volunteer positions were currently available, with applications open in early March.
“Successful representatives are appointed to the RADF panel for a minimum of two years,” Cr Talty said.
“Panel members are selected for their expertise and their understanding of developing the creative industries in the region.”
Panellists play an important role in reviewing funding applications and helping guide how arts grants are distributed across the Redlands.
Responsibilities include attending and participating in RADF assessment meetings, evaluating and providing feedback to grant applicants, promoting the RADF program within local networks, and ensuring that allocated funds align with RADF guidelines and eligibility criteria.
Arts, Culture and Heritage portfolio representative Cr Paul Bishop said the program supported both professional and emerging artists in the region.
“The grants are awarded across two rounds each financial year to support professional and emerging artists and arts workers in the region,” Cr Bishop said.
“The program aims to promote access to, and participation in, arts and culture, as well as to empower artists, support collaboration and drive cultural and economic development within Redlands Coast.”
The RADF program is delivered through a partnership between Redland City Council and the Queensland Government.

To be considered for the panel, applicants are asked to send a brief letter of introduction and a one-page CV summary to [email protected], addressed to the Chair of the Redland City Council RADF Panel, Bradley Rush (Service Manager Creative Arts).
