WYNNUM Wolves captain Jacob Krayem is set to take the next step in his football career, securing a move to New Zealand OFC Pro League club South Island United ahead of the competition’s inaugural 2026 season.

A mainstay at the heart of the Wolves’ defence, Krayem departs Wynnum after eight seasons of service, during which he chalked up more than 130 senior league appearances and played a central role in one of the most successful periods in the club’s recent history.

Since joining the club, Krayem has been part of Wynnum’s rise from FQPL 2 through to the NPL, establishing himself as an automatic selection in the first team and a leader on and off the park.

His consistency and influence have been recognised across multiple seasons, earning him several Young Player of the Year awards and repeated Team of the Season selections.

The move to South Island United sees Krayem take his experience and leadership to the newly formed OFC Pro League, with the Wynnum community wishing their long-serving captain every success as he embarks on a new chapter.

South Island United will gain not only a dependable defender, but a proven leader at the back.
