Over the last 30 days, Russell Island police have charged offenders with 45 offences, including drug, traffic, trespass, enter premises, possess knife, possess explosives and stealing offences.

More than half of the theft charges laid locally stemmed from repeated offending at a single business on Jackson Road, Russell Island, where five offenders were charged on seven occasions in December 2025 alone.

Residents are also reminded that, if they are in need of urgent police assistance, to please call Triple Zero (000). If the matter is not urgent, please call Policelink on 131 444.

If you are already at the police station and realise it is closed, you can use the blue phone at the front of the station to speak directly with a police call taker, who will notify the Russell Island Police.

If you have information for police, contact Policelink by providing information using the online suspicious activity form 24hrs per day at www.police.qld.gov.au/reporting.

Report crime information anonymously via Crime Stoppers. Call 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestoppersqld.com.au
