CLUB Macleay has always been a favourite stop for locals and visitors alike, but right now the island venue is enjoying a well-deserved moment in the spotlight.
With two new chefs breathing fresh life into the kitchen, improved accessibility for day-trippers, and expanded options for functions and social gatherings, the club has firmly cemented itself as one of Redlands’ standout destinations.
The biggest talking point is in the kitchen.
Club Macleay has welcomed not one but two new chefs, each bringing a wealth of culinary experience and an eye for bold flavours.
Their influence is already clear, with an ever-changing specials board showcasing inventive dishes, fresh ingredients and restaurant-quality flair.
Whether you are stopping in for a relaxed lunch or settling in for dinner overlooking the bay, the food is now a genuine drawcard.
Getting to the club is easier than ever.
The ample parking at Redland Bay and the famously affordable 50-cent ferry make the trip simple, and once you arrive, the Club Macleay courtesy bus has you covered.
Operating every day of the week, it delivers guests between 10.30am and 9pm most days (slightly earlier on Sundays, and from 4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays).
It is a seamless door-to-door experience that takes the hassle out of island travel.
Regulars will also tell you that Club Macleay knows how to keep things fun.
Meat tray raffles run every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, stocked with high-quality cuts from Moreton Bay Gourmet Meats.
Add a drink on the deck with sweeping water views, a roll of barefoot bowls and the relaxed island atmosphere, and you have the makings of a perfect day out.
