REDLANDS Touch Association is celebrating a major achievement after the Men’s Premier team secured back-to-back Queensland State Cup titles at Coomera Sports Park over the weekend.

The Redlands side delivered a composed and disciplined campaign across the three-day tournament, culminating in a hard-fought win over a strong Rockhampton outfit in the final.

Their performance reinforced the team’s growing reputation as one of Queensland’s dominant touch football forces.

Team officials said the result was built on the group’s tight culture and ability to support one another under pressure.

Players were praised for maintaining positive communication, quickly moving past errors, and focusing on executing the next job.

Coaches and staff also set the tone from the sub box, providing calm direction throughout the tournament.

Redlands’ trademark grit and determination were on display across all matches, with the side showing the same pride in the red and green that carried them to last year’s title.

This latest win follows an already impressive year for the squad, highlighted by strong performances in the Metro Cup.

The team is also known for its commitment beyond competition, with players regularly volunteering to mentor junior coaches and assist with developing younger players.

The association said this culture of giving back is a key part of the club’s success and helps strengthen the next generation of Redlands touch footballers.

A Redlands Touch Association spokesperson thanked supporters who filled the sidelines across the weekend, saying their presence “drove the team to deliver an outstanding performance”.

The 2025 Queensland State Cup featured divisions from U20s to 60s across men’s, women’s, and mixed categories, with Redlands represented strongly throughout.

Several senior teams recorded notable results, contributing to the region’s growing status in the sport.

The final match is available to stream for free on Kayo by searching “Queensland State Cup”.
