FOUR athletes from Capalaba’s Industrie 1 Sport Aerobics have returned home with outstanding results after representing Australia at the 2025 FISAF Sport Aerobics World Championships in Prague.
The championships, held from October 21 to 23, brought together top competitors from across the globe, including more than 90 Australian athletes who earned their place in Team Australia following strong performances at the FISAF National Championships in August.
Cannon Hill Anglican College student Ben Ellis claimed a silver medal in the Junior Individual Male (13-15 years) category, securing one of Australia’s top podium finishes of the event.
Gumdale State School student Lily Rose Marshall finished sixth in the Cadet Individual Female (10-12 years) division.
Local competitor Khloe Lugton and teammate Baylee Caruso, who travels from Narangba to train at the Capalaba studio, placed fourth in the Adult Duo event.
Coach Penny McKinlay, who has now attended 16 World Championships, travelled with the team and provided support throughout the competition.
McKinlay is one of Australia’s longest-serving coaches in the sport and has helped guide Industrie 1 athletes onto national and international stages for more than two decades.
Established in 2001, Industrie 1 Sport Aerobics has grown into one of the country’s largest and most successful aerobics clubs.
The Capalaba-based studio offers competitive and recreational programs, combining elements of aerobics, gymnastics and dance.
