While they are still popular many are now looking for a new destination to explore.

Vietnam is at the top of that list with Aussie tourists going to Vietnam over the past 12 months surging by 500% in the past 12 months.

The word is out that there’s a lot more to Vietnam than the traditional image of rice paddies and conical hats.

We are discovering a country now bursting with energy and new adventures.

As part of the tourism explosion across the country many major operators are opening new resorts and amongst them is the Banyan Tree Group.

On June 1 they will be unveil two new resorts in Ho Tram, which is a two hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City.

The first of their new beachfront destinations is Angsana a secluded resort with 102 suites and villas, while the second is Dhawa Ho Tram, a hotel with 162 cocoon-like rooms and suites.

Both have just been built within six hectares of lush vegetation overlooking a calm coastline.

The resort complex is close to a coastal rainforest, hot springs, a fishing village, and three golf courses.

With its lush greenery, pristine beach, and spacious accommodation, Angsana is aimed as a getaway for travellers who want to escape the urban grind and enjoy the luxury of time, surrounded by nature.

Suites and villa range from 62 to 264 square metres and each suite includes oversized bathrooms, private balcony, jacuzzi or private swimming pool.

A unique feature of the property is the Serenity Stream Walk, a pathway adorned with plants, trees and a winding stream linking to each villa.

Sense of Serenity

The property features the renowned Angsana Spa, a sanctuary of relaxation which honours ancient wisdom and time-honoured techniques incorporating natural ingredients such as flowers, fruits, and melaleuca oil in its spa treatments.

Fitness enthusiasts will enjoy Activa, a full-service gym, while children can explore the Play Play Kids’ Club and outdoor playground with its mini-golf course, life-sized pirate ship and water play features.

They will also be providing guided tours to nearby natural landmarks such as the Binh Chau-Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve, a primitive rainforest stretching 11,000 hectares, and the Binh Chau Hot Springs.

With 12 floors facing the sea, Dhawa Ho Tram is a cosy getaway with pockets of spaces to socialise, contemplate or nest in.

Each of the 162 rooms and suites is designed as a cocoon with cheerful colours where one can take it easy while ordering food, playing music, reading or chilling.

The resort’s general manager Clay Clayton spent many years in the hospitality industry in Hervey Bay and the Maryborough district.

He has been overseeing the competition of the properties for months and said the final product was a wonderful addition for the tourism industry of Vietnam.

“The location is perfect for a getaway from the city, where the beauty of nature is in full bloom, and the unspoilt beach provides calm and relaxation,” he said.

“Angsana’s tropical oasis of suites and villas offers luxurious beachfront living, while Dhawa is designed as a cocoon with smart and modern in-room features to make guests want to stay in.

“We have something for everyone, including delicious dining options, an Angsana Spa, water activities, kids’ facilities, and multifunctional spaces for meetings and weddings.”

Clay also said the resort was presently offering discounts for its guests over the next few months.
