TINY living is returning to the Redlands with the Tiny Home Expo back at the Cleveland (Redlands) Showgrounds for its sixth year – bringing together tiny homes, clever ideas, practical information and a growing interest in living a little differently.
Visitors can step inside a variety of Tiny Houses on Wheels (teeny studios to three-bedroom mini-mansions with all the bells and whistles, and Class 1a modular homes (granny flats), meeting builders, and explore everything that goes along with creating a smaller or more self-sufficient lifestyle.
Beyond the homes themselves, the expo includes off-grid solar, water and toilet solutions, pools and saunas, market stalls, associations and clubs, plus specialists covering many of the practical questions people have when they begin exploring tiny living.
A big addition this year is the additional My Self Reliance speaker area, expanding the conversation beyond tiny houses and into the skills and ideas that can help people become more capable and self-reliant in everyday life.
Talks will explore topics including preparing, growing your own food, keeping chickens, growing for self-care, EMF awareness and a range of other interesting subjects.
Whether you’re planning a more self-sufficient property or simply want to learn a few useful skills to take home, there will be plenty to discover.
Alongside this new program is the Expo’s popular Tiny House Speaker Area, with practical information, inspiration and – importantly – the experiences of people who live tiny.
Visitors can hear about the realities of downsizing, designing a small space, choosing the right type of home and some of the considerations around where and how tiny homes can be used.
With two speaker areas, great homes and displays to explore, plus a food court, free parking and free entry for children, it’s an easy day out for anyone curious about tiny living, downsizing, backyard accommodation or becoming a little more self-reliant.
