MORE than 4000 people dressed in witches, ghosts and horror costumes flocked to Minnippi Parklands on Saturday for the return of Spooktakular Saturday.

Held at Porter’s Paddock Park, Tingalpa, families enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment including the Mad Scientist Magic Show, live music from Mitch Dormer, the Queensland Services Heritage Marching Band, a children’s Halloween disco and a lively costume competition that saw prizes awarded to babies, children, families and pets.

Doboy Councillor Lisa Atwood said the event was a great way to celebrate Halloween in a fun, safe and community-focused way.

It was sponsored by Carina Leagues Club, Rivermakers Brisbane and Patrick Ivey from Harcourts Real Estate and will be back next year.
