A 33-year-old man has been charged with 15 offences following an investigation into alleged thefts and break-ins at technology stores across Brisbane’s south, including Victoria Point.

Bayside Property Crime Team detectives allege the offences occurred between August 19 and 30 at businesses on Secam St, Mansfield; Rosedale St, Coopers Plains; Evans Rd, Salisbury; and Bunker Rd, Victoria Point.

Police arrested the man at a Waterford West address on September 13.

They will further allege he was found in possession of methylamphetamine, testosterone, pipes and a grinder believed to have been used in connection with drug offences.

The man faces charges including attempted break-ins, break-ins, stealing, receiving tainted property, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug utensils, possession of property suspected of being used in drug offending, and contravention of a domestic violence order.

He was refused bail and was expected to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on September 14.

The arrest forms part of Operation Yankee Forge, a six-month statewide police operation targeting high-harm and high-volume property crime, including unlawful entry, vehicle theft and robbery.
