Not that Robbie Williams forgot any lyrics, but two capacity crowds of about 13,000 people per night sang along at Sirromet on November 18 and 19.

The XXV Australian tour included five A Day on the Green shows, complete with laser lights, graphics and a band of 15 in full choreography.

Robbie said entertainment could be felt “in your fingers” and “in your toes” and invited the crowds to hold out their arms and sway as one.

“You’ve got to love your audience. I tried to do that individually – and I nearly got there,” he said.

His show was an odyssey to 33 years in the industry taking in the highs and lows of an industry filled with scandal, sex, paparazzi and “therapy”.

Robbie also showed his love for all things Australian, particularly honouring Shane Warne and John Farnham.

Sirromet Wines marketing director Debbie MacGillivray said the event was a major success with a record number of attendees.

“We had such great positive feedback from the event which was very pleasing to hear,” she said.

“We also nailed it in terms of the weather compared to the wind and rain which came soon after.”
