THE excitement is building across the Redlands Coast as businesses begin rallying their communities for support in the People’s Choice categories of the 2026 Redlands Business Excellence Awards.
Over the past week, our volunteer team has been out and about across the region delivering nominee packs, and it’s been fantastic to see the response.
Businesses are proudly displaying their nomination materials, sharing their achievements online and encouraging customers, friends and supporters to get behind them by casting a vote.
As the largest business awards program in the Redlands, the Redlands Business Excellence Awards celebrate the outstanding contribution local businesses make to our economy and community.
What many people don’t realise is that the awards are delivered almost entirely by volunteers, who generously donate their time to recognise and celebrate business excellence across the region.
The People’s Choice Awards are always one of the most anticipated categories because they put the decision directly in the hands of the community.
This year’s nominees represent a diverse range of industries including hospitality, retail, health, beauty, tourism, education, professional services and community organisations.
Each business has been recognised because someone took the time to nominate them, a reflection of the positive impact they are having on customers and the wider community.
“The Redlands Business Excellence Awards are about more than winning a trophy,” a Chamber spokesperson said.
“They’re about recognising the businesses that show up every day for our community, employ local people, support local events and help make the Redlands a better place to live and work.
“Seeing businesses proudly share their nominations across social media and engage their customers is exactly what these awards are all about – celebrating local success together.”
It has been wonderful to see businesses embracing the opportunity and sharing their nomination across social media.
The enthusiasm highlights just how much these awards mean to local business owners and their teams.
For many, a People’s Choice vote is more than recognition – it is a sign that their hard work, dedication and commitment to customer service is valued by the people they serve.
The awards are also a reminder of the importance of supporting local.
Every dollar spent locally helps create jobs, supports families and contributes to a stronger, more resilient Redlands economy.
Voting is now open and community members are encouraged to get involved and support their favourite local businesses.
People’s Choice voting closes at midnight on August 19, with winners to be announced at the Redlands Business Excellence Awards Gala on September 12.
If a local business has made a difference to you, now is the perfect opportunity to show your appreciation.
Every vote counts, and every vote helps celebrate the businesses that make the Redlands Coast such a vibrant and thriving place to live, work and do business.
