REDLANDS cyclists have recorded a string of strong results across Queensland, with podium finishes in hill-climb, time-trial, gravel and cyclocross competition.
Siena Goulding finished second at the AusCycling Queensland Hill Climb Championships at Yandina on August 15, an impressive result in her first year in the under-17 age group.
Kelly Phuah also claimed second overall in her age group in the Queensland Individual Time Trial Series, after winning round five with an average speed of 38.3km/h.
Further north, Julie Rappo came away from the Queensland State Gravel and Cyclocross Championships in Rockhampton with a silver medal and a state title.
The Rockhampton Cycling Club-hosted championships began with the gravel event on Saturday, where Rappo overcame a puncture – her first in years – to finish second.
Conditions were a marked contrast to the mud-heavy event experienced by riders last year.
Rappo returned on Sunday for the cyclocross championships and claimed victory on a well-organised course, earning the title of 2026 Queensland State Cyclocross Champion.
Rockhampton Cycling Club volunteers were praised for their work.
