The Redlands community is coming together in a spectacular style!
On Saturday, May 16, the doors of the Redlands Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) in Cleveland will open wide for Community Celebration 2026, an afternoon dedicated to connection, joy, and the vibrant spirit of our community and everyone is invited!
Entry is free so no one misses out.
This much-anticipated annual event promises a fun-filled afternoon.
From 2-6.30pm, the community will enjoy a great line-up of live performances for all ages. From the stirring sounds of the Redlands Sporting Club Pipe Band to the energy of the UQ Taiko Japanese drummers, the RPAC stage will come alive with performances for everyone.
The event MC is Nicci Hope. Expect colour, movement, and delight with stilt walkers, giant bubble performers, and a magic show by the ever-popular Johnny the Jester. Local talent will shine through groups like the U3A Performance Group, Strictly Dance Group, and the Birkdale Men’s Shed.
Children can dive into a world of fun with face painting, a bouncy castle, and even a petting zoo, all for a simple gold coin donation.
Browse through market stalls, connect with community organisations, or simply soak up the festive atmosphere.
There will be plenty of food and drinks to enjoy from a selection of food trucks and ice cream vans.
A highlight of the day will be the Volunteer of the Year Awards, an important moment to recognise the quiet heroes who give their time and energy to make Redlands a better place to live.
As the sun sets, the celebration will reach a dazzling finale with a stunning laser show.
Bring your family and friends to join in the fun.
The event is hosted by STAR Community Services and Volunteering Redlands and sponsored by Redland City Council, McGrath, GWH Dental, Alex Gow Funerals, Oldmac Toyota, Fidelity Hearing, Mr Fireworks and RetireAustralia.
