THE John Quarman kennel had no shortage of ideas on Sunday afternoon — and delivered them in style — claiming a polished treble down the 366m straight at Capalaba.

The run began in race three with Idea’s Girl, who made it three wins on the bounce when justifying her $3.30 favouritism.

The Ferdinand Boy x Some Idea chaser showed her class to defeat the heavily backed Secret Story, who was chasing a sixth consecutive victory.

The win further strengthened Idea’s Girl’s impressive résumé, taking her career record to 21 wins and 13 placings from 48 starts, with prizemoney now exceeding $64,000.

Momentum stayed firmly with the Elimbah-based kennel in the next when Idea’s Man — her brother and kennelmate — delivered as the $2.20 favourite.

A proven straight-track performer, he has now been unplaced just three times from 18 starts over the Bayside 366m.

The treble was completed in emphatic fashion by Another Idea, who lined up as the $1.50 favourite.

As the boxes pinged, she speared to the lead and gave the rest of them something to chase.

She returned to the winner’s circle, after stringing together six placings following back-to-back wins last month, to put a clear exclamation mark on a dominant afternoon for the Quarman kennel.

A slick, well-timed treble — and plenty more ideas still to come.
