A NEW era of golf has arrived in the Redlands with the official opening of Birdies, a state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator centre in Redland Bay.

The six-bay facility combines world-class technology, easy accessibility, and a community-focused atmosphere – giving local golfers access to tour-level experiences without ever stepping onto a fairway.

Built and launched by husband-and-wife team Sam and Helen Merton, Birdies Bayside is the latest venture from the Mertons, who are passionate about bringing high-quality, modern golf experiences to the local community.

Sam is also the founder of Bayside Golf, one of Australia’s leading home and commercial golf simulator companies, known for designing and building some of the country’s most advanced simulator spaces.

“We’ve spent years helping golfers around Australia create their dream simulator setups,” Sam said.

“Now we’ve built something truly special right here in our own community as a place for golfers to practise, play, and socialise all year round.”

At Birdies, players can choose from more than 1800-plus world-class courses, enjoy ultra-realistic 4K visuals, and receive instant feedback on every swing through professional-grade launch monitor data.

It’s golf for everyone, from seasoned players to beginners.

The venue’s membership options are designed with flexibility in mind, offering golfers access to discounted hourly rates and exclusive perks.

Visitors can also book casually, making it easy to drop in for a round with friends, host a corporate event, or join Birdies’ upcoming leagues and competitions.

Helen said Birdies Bayside was all about creating a space to bring people together.

“It’s about fun and keeping the spirit of golf alive in the Redlands.”

Birdies is open seven days a week and located in Redland Bay’s growing business park, and offers easy access and ample parking.
