If your teen is about to start Year 11 or 12 and is looking for a high school experience that’s flexible, practical and future-focused, then TAFE Queensland’s Senior College Info Night is a must-attend.

Visit the leafy Alexandra Hills campus on Tuesday, September 16 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm for this free, family-friendly event.

Parents and students can explore an exciting alternative to mainstream high school – one that puts your teen’s goals, wellbeing and future front and centre.

The award-winning Senior College program offers a unique Year 11 and 12 experience where students can complete their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and work towards an ATAR (if they choose to), while also gaining hands-on skills through vocational certificates and school-based apprenticeships.

It’s ideal for students who thrive in a mature and independent learning environment and are ready to take control of their future.

“We have been transforming lives for over 30 years through our Senior College program by providing students with a supportive educational pathway,” said TAFE Queensland Head of Senior College Mark Jenkins.

“There’s no ‘one size fits all’ in education, and our school is changing lives by offering a personalised approach, helping students build real-world skills and confidence in their futures.”

At Senior College Info Night, you can:

  • learn about the school-based apprenticeship options and TAFE at School program
  • take a guided campus tour with the TAFE at School team and see the training facilities
  • meet passionate educators and discuss how Senior College can meet your teen’s individual needs and goals
  • hear about TAFE Queensland’s other study pathways and job-ready training
  • enjoy showcases of current student projects, jam to live music, and enjoy a free sausage sizzle (while stocks last)!

“Our Senior College program supports every student’s individual pathway – whether that’s university, further study, or heading straight into work,” Mr Jenkins said.

“We want families to see what’s possible when students are given the freedom and support to thrive.”

Located just 35 minutes from Brisbane, the Alexandra Hills campus combines modern training facilities with a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where students feel confident, capable and ready for what’s next.

Join them on September 16 and discover how your teen can do Year 11 and 12 their way. Scan the QR code below to register or call (07) 3826 8407.
