TYPES AND STYLES

  1. Conventional caravans – These are the most common and come in various lengths, typically between 5 to 10 metres. They provide a solid, enclosed space with essential amenities such as kitchens, bathrooms, and sleeping areas.
  2. Pop-top caravans – Featuring a retractable roof, these caravans are lightweight and easier to tow, while still offering good interior space. When parked, the roof is extended for additional headroom.
  3. Off-road caravans – Built for rugged Australian conditions, these models come with reinforced suspension, larger wheels, and higher ground clearance, allowing travel to remote locations.
  4. Camper trailers – Smaller and more compact, camper trailers can be soft or hard-floor designs. They are ideal for adventurous travellers who need a lightweight, towable home.
  5. Motorhomes – Fully self-contained with built-in engines, motorhomes range from compact models to luxury buses. They offer convenience but are more expensive and require greater maintenance.
  6. Tiny homes on wheels – Gaining popularity, these are custom-built homes on trailers offering a more permanent lifestyle option, often designed for sustainability.
