A VICTORIA Point real estate agent is passionate about preserving Redlands’ unique charm while celebrating its enviable lifestyle.

Cornish-born Michelle Cattran swapped the UK for Australia nearly 40 years ago and hasn’t looked back, proudly calling the Redlands her forever home.

“We have such a great lifestyle here and are very spoilt, whether we want to kayak, sail, swim, or go bushwalking,” Michelle said. “I can’t imagine being anywhere else, and I feel privileged to call this place home.”

Michelle’s career spans nearly four decades in real estate, where her adaptability and passion for the ever-changing industry continue to fuel her work.

“Each day is different, which keeps me on my toes,” she said. “I love a challenge!”

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Michelle is committed to giving back to the community.

She has been a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) for almost 30 years, providing a valuable service to locals.

Balancing her career and personal life hasn’t always been easy, but Michelle credits life’s ups and downs for teaching her valuable lessons.

“I try very hard to keep a work-life balance,” Michelle said. “Although that’s easier said than done, especially when I decided to study for a BSc in my early fifties!”

Michelle shared her hopes for the future of Redland City, expressing a desire for the area to maintain its unique identity and for the long-awaited Cleveland-

Redland Bay Rd upgrade to finally be completed.

In her little downtime, Michelle enjoys gardening, Sudoku, and reading.

“I used to sail a lot but don’t have the time these days,” she said.

For Michelle, the Redlands isn’t just a place to live – it’s a community she’s proud to be part of and a home she treasures.
