IT’S internationally recognised as Spain’s signature dish, and the succulent seafood paella that’s been served at Barcella Restaurant since its inception is clearly hitting the spot for locals here as well.

Barcella Restaurant is a modern, licensed Australian restaurant with a Mediterranean-influenced menu headlined by the paella but ably supported by Italian classics such as carbonara, bolognese, gnocchi, lasagna, pizzas and risottos.

But in keeping with the restaurant’s commitment to cater for its diverse clientele, the Barcella menu also features classic Australian favourites such as the Darling Downs Rump, King Henry Lamb Shanks, chicken parmigiana and scallopini, pork ribs and pork belly.

Add in the locally sourced seafood delicacies, such as the crispy skin Atlantic salmon and seafood marinara with mussels, prawns, squid and scallops served in Barcella’s handmade sauce ,and it’s crystal clear that all taste buds and cravings are catered for.

Owner Vijay Singh said Barcella’s serene setting and idyllic location made it a popular option for birthday celebrations, weddings and functions.

“We understand that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and we wish to help you capture and create the most beautiful memories on your special day,” he said. “We cater for up 150 people for our functions, and our location makes Barcella an ideal spot for beautiful photos which create lifelong memories.”

Barcella is ideally located overlooking the water at Lakeside Boulevard, Victoria Point and Mr Singh said his focus on local produce and first-class customer service were key ingredients to the restaurant’s success.

“We are very proud that Barcella has an extensive menu to suit all tastes,” he said.

“We serve an all-day breakfast, our pizzas and pastas are very popular, and our specialty is definitely our seafood paella. We also have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

“Barcella is a family owned and run restaurant – we invite you to come in with your family and be a part of our family.”
