It was a heart-warming display of community spirit, when 891 Christmas hampers were delivered to seniors who found themselves alone this Christmas, thanks to the Secret Santa Appeal run by STAR Community Services.

This incredible initiative, made possible through the support of generous donors and volunteers across the community, also contributed over 2,274 gifts and toiletries, along with 1,978 food items, to various community groups.

With many seniors living alone, isolated not only from their loved ones but also from the wider community.

STAR’s Secret Santa Appeal was launched by STAR in 2019 as a part of its ongoing commitment to fight the growing problem of social isolation amongst the older Australians.
