THREE people have been charged with a combined 33 offences following an investigation into alleged vehicle thefts and property crime across Brisbane’s south, including Wynnum and Morningside.

Bayside detectives allege the group committed offences between September 2 and 7 at Wynnum, Morningside, Acacia Ridge, Calamvale, Annerley and Holland Park.

Nine vehicles were allegedly stolen, including a Jaguar E-Pace, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Pajero, Lexus and BMW.

Four vehicles have since been recovered.

A 15-year-old Inala boy was arrested at an Inala address on September 5 and charged with 14 offences, including five counts of entering a dwelling and committing an offence, two counts each of attempted break-ins at night in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Police also allege he committed an offence involving the alleged use of a vehicle while armed or pretending to be armed in company.

He was refused police bail and appeared in Wynnum Children’s Court on September 7, where he was remanded in custody until September 10.

In a separate arrest on September 7, Inala Tactical Crime Squad officers allegedly tracked a stolen vehicle to Cedar St, Cannon Hill, where an 18-year-old Cannon Hill woman was arrested.

She was charged with 10 offences, including alleged attempted break-ins, entering a dwelling and committing an offence, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The woman was refused police bail and appeared in Wynnum Magistrates Court on September 8.

She was remanded in custody to reappear on September 24.

Investigators also executed a search warrant at another Inala address on September 7, arresting a 16-year-old Inala boy.

He was charged with nine offences, including four counts of entering a dwelling and committing an offence, two counts of attempted break-ins at night in company, and alleged unlawful use of motor vehicles.

The boy was refused police bail and appeared in Wynnum Children’s Court on September 8.

He was remanded in custody until October 1.
