THE race for Australian television’s highest honours is officially underway, with the nominees for the 66th TV WEEK Logie Awards revealed.

This year’s lineup reflects a rapidly evolving industry where traditional television giants and streaming powerhouses now share the spotlight.

From beloved presenters and household names to critically acclaimed dramas and breakout performers, this year’s nominations showcase the breadth of Australian storytelling and the growing influence of subscription streaming services on the nation’s television landscape.

Leading the charge for television’s most coveted prize, the TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, are seven familiar faces who have become fixtures in Australian living rooms.

Among the contenders are respected journalists Ally Langdon and Lisa Millar, popular entertainers Julia Morris and Sam Pang, television personality and conservationist Robert Irwin, cooking favourite Poh Ling Yeow and tennis legend Todd Woodbridge.

All eyes are likely to be on Irwin, who will also host television’s night of nights when the Logies return to Sydney in August.

This year’s awards also mark a significant milestone with the introduction of the Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter, honouring one of Australia’s most respected and enduring broadcasters.

Beyond the individual categories, the nominations reveal just how dramatically Australia’s television landscape has changed.

Streaming services have become major players, securing nominations across many of the night’s most prestigious categories.

With public voting now open, television fans across the country will have the opportunity to help decide who takes home the famous statuettes.

The 66th TV WEEK Logie Awards will be held at The Star Sydney and broadcast live on Seven and 7plus on Sunday, August 16, promising another night of glamour.
