MAY is Small Business Month, a time to recognise the incredible contribution local businesses make to our economy, community, and way of life.

Contents
  • POSITIONING REDLANDS COAST BUSINESSES FOR 2032 AND BEYOND
  • REDLANDS HEALTH AND CARE WORKFORCE SYMPOSIUM

Across the Redlands Coast, small businesses are the backbone of our region, creating jobs, supporting families, driving innovation, and helping shape a vibrant local future.

This May, local businesses can be part of two major free events designed to inform, connect, and create real opportunities for growth.

Each of these events is being delivered in collaboration with the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce, which is fantastic to see.

We are proud to support both events, and it highlights an important message that when organisations work together, our community becomes stronger, more connected, and better positioned for the future.

POSITIONING REDLANDS COAST BUSINESSES FOR 2032 AND BEYOND

With the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the horizon, now is the time for businesses to start preparing for the opportunities ahead.

Positioning Redlands Coast Businesses for 2032 and Beyond is a must-attend event that will explore how local businesses can benefit from the lead-up to the Games and the long-term legacy that will follow.

Hosted by Redland City Council and supported by the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature key leaders including Brisbane 2032’s Director of Community Affairs, Dominique Lamb.

Businesses looking to grow, diversify, future proof, or better understand what is coming next are encouraged to attend.

When: Wednesday, May 6
Time: 8.30am to noon
Where: Alexandra Hills Hotel

This event is fast approaching, so registrations are encouraged before places close.

REDLANDS HEALTH AND CARE WORKFORCE SYMPOSIUM

For those in the health, aged care, disability, allied health, and care sectors, this event is for you.

The Redlands Health and Care Workforce Symposium is a powerful industry-led working session focused on solving workforce challenges and shaping priorities for the next 18 months.

Attendees will hear key findings from the Redlands Health and Care Workforce survey, contribute ideas, connect with leaders, and help design practical local solutions.

This is more than a networking event.

It is an opportunity to have your voice heard and directly influence the future of the local workforce.

When: Thursday, May 21
Time: 8.30am to 12.30pm
Where: Alexandra Hills Hotel

Places are limited and interest is strong, so early registration is recommended.

Small Business Month is about action, connection, and investing in the future of our region.

These two events offer local businesses the chance to be part of important conversations and opportunities that will help shape the Redlands Coast for years to come.

To find out more or register today, contact the Chamber of Commerce or check their social media pages for full event details and registration information.
