MEMBERS of the Solomon Kings Football Club recently visited Minjerribah, taking in the island’s arts and culture while connecting with the local community.

The Solomon Kings, an association football club based in Honiara, Solomon Islands, are set to compete in the inaugural season of the OFC Professional League (OFCPL).

The club’s name pays homage to the biblical King Solomon, the namesake of the country.

During their time in Queensland, the team trained with partner club Wynnum Wolves, adopting the Wolves’ yellow-and-black colours for the trip.

The visit to Minjerribah provided players with a chance to explore local heritage and engage with the community ahead of their first professional season.
