WYNNUM Wolves top men’s and women’s teams have stepped out with a sleek black-on-black look in their third generation NAIDOC kits.

The club showcased new club sponsor SeaLink as front-of-jersey sponsor for its specially designed 2025 NAIDOC jersey at the weekend.

Graphic designer Amanda Terblanche from PFS Creative – a Bayside business – crafted the design of this year’s jerseys from an original artwork by up-and-

coming Quandamooka Indigenous artist Ayla Costello.

The limited-edition strip has already made an impression among the players, with veteran defender Jack Hingert giving it a big thumbs-up.

“Yeah, I really like it – it’s a really cool shirt,” Hingert said.

“I love the colour and the design, and the material feels great too.

“I’ve had a few jerseys in my time, and this is one of the nicer ones.

“It just feels good to wear.”

Hingert said the significance of the jersey extended beyond aesthetics.

“I think it’s extremely important to be wearing this jersey and representing that heritage,” he said.

“It’s really special – especially with so many young footballers coming through who share that background.

“It’s a great opportunity to honour that and be part of something meaningful.”

Welcoming SeaLink as the club’s new NAIDOC kit front-of-jersey sponsor in 2025 has added another level of local flavour, as SeaLink quite literally provides the link between the Bayside and its beautiful islands – all part of Quandamooka country.

SeaLink South East Queensland General Manager Ben Renwick said SeaLink was excited and proud to be on board as a sponsor of Wynnum Wolves this year.

“The connection to First Nations people and the Quandamooka Country is something that’s really important to us,” he said.

“That connection extends into the local community through the soccer club, and we’re proud to be part of it.

“We hope this is something we can continue to support well into the future.”

This will be the third consecutive year Wynnum Wolves FC is celebrating and acknowledging NAIDOC Week in Queensland.

The club’s NPL Men’s team and U23s wore the NAIDOC jerseys in their thrilling 4-3 win at Brisbane City on Saturday.

Despite trailing 3-2 heading into injury time, Wolves struck twice in the 92nd and 98th minutes to record another welcome three points on the road.

The side will wear the jerseys again in their home match against Olympic FC this Saturday.

The club’s FQPL women wore their new black NAIDOC kits last Sunday.
