Three men have been charged over an alleged violent home invasion at Wellington Point last month in which a resident was shot in the foot.

Bayside Criminal Investigations Branch detectives allege a group of offenders broke into a Mander Court address about 1am on December 8, confronting the 25-year-old male occupant.

During an altercation, police allege one of the offenders discharged a firearm, striking the man in the foot.

He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The group allegedly stole several items from the home before fleeing the scene in a blue Dodge Ram utility stolen from the property and a white BMW X5.

The Dodge Ram was later located with significant damage on Railway Parade, Thorneside, on December 9.

Police allege the BMW X5 had been stolen from a Pioneer Drive address at Kuraby on November 3 and was later recovered undamaged on Pinelands Street, Loganlea, also on December 9.

Police have described the incident as targeted and say there is no ongoing threat to the general public.

Following investigations, officers arrested a 30-year-old man at a Maple Street address in Marsden on December 12.

He was charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, robbery armed in company, enter dwelling and commit, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Cleveland Magistrates Court on January 20.

Further investigations led to the arrest of two additional men at Waterford West Shopping Centre about 3.30pm on January 7.

A 28-year-old Crestmead man was charged with grievous bodily harm, robbery armed in company, enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and four counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

He was denied police bail and is due to appear before Cleveland Magistrates Court today.

A 29-year-old Waterford West man was charged with grievous bodily harm, robbery armed in company, enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and possessing dangerous drugs.

He was also denied police bail and is expected to appear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

Police executed a subsequent search warrant at a Wellington Circuit address in Yarrabilba, where they allegedly located drug items, firearm parts and two .22 calibre rounds.

Investigations remain ongoing.
