Redland Rhapsody director Louise Brannon is now a master director since the chorus took out several accolades and a total 616-point score at the Sweet Adelines Australian convention.

The convention involved 23 Australian choruses and was staged at the Brisbane Convention Centre on May 6 and 7.

The Redland Rhapsody Chorus took out the most improved, gaining 68 points over its previous score and came third in division AA for a chorus with more than 30 voices and third overall in the competition.

To win, the chorus sang An Earful of Music and the ballad Maybe This Time.

Chorus marketing coordinator Maree Sherwood said the performance was a result of about a year’s worth of preparation, involving weekly rehearsals and national and international coaching.
